At the same time, KVK says goodbye to Joseph Akpala. The former striker has been assistant coach in the Guldensporenstadion since 2022 and also took on the role of interim trainer five times. Akpala now goes to Club Brugge, where he is part of the extensive staff of head coach Nicky Hayen. He becomes “Player Development Coach” and will focus on the individual growth of players in the A-core.
In addition to Akpala, Jonathan Alves and Mitch Delcour de Staf join at Club Brugge. Alves, previously working at RSC Anderlecht and the Belgian U19, becomes “Team Development Coach” and watches over the long -term vision. Delcour shifts from Club NXT to the A-core as “Pathway Coach”, with a focus on the flow of young talents.
