The women’s Superpesis experienced a scary situation. The women’s Superpes match between Seinäjoki’s Maila-Jussie and Laitila Jyske ended up in a gloomy mood when Jyske’s catcher Iida Piirainen was injured at the end of the match. Piirainen got the ball in the front field as he played directly on his lower jaw. The situation happened at the beginning of the last pair of the second episode, when Jussittari’s Maiju Mäntylä struck strongly towards the second limit. Piirainen reacted to the beat, but the ball was unlucky through the flip on his face.
