Johan Derksen is starting to get tired of the musical hobby of Wilfred Genee. It was fun once, but now his priorities are starting to be wrong, according to the VI-star. “Pff.”
Anyone who thought the song just had a one -off trip in the pub from Wilfred Genee is wrong. He released a new song just before today’s season finale and he also performed in the Oranjezomer last week. At first it was a gimmick, but now it is getting colder.
Obsession of Wilfred
Johan Derksen is well done with it. According to him, that performance in the Oranjezomer went too far. “The worst thing: to my astonishment, I saw colleague Wilfred Genee again with that terrible song of him. He was already false to sing as an accomplished folk singer,” he says in the podcast Greetings from Grolloo.
It bothers him. “Then I think: it is a kind of obsession of Wilfred and he must gradually be protected against himself. He does not hurt anyone with it, but he will put himself for dick time and time again, because if you can’t sing, you should definitely not start singing live on Dutch TV.”
Everything has to give way
Wilfred must know where the priorities are, according to Johan. “Look, everything has to give way to singing. Wilfred always comes in at the last minute at today, but when he had to sing the song – and I don’t have anything else to hear that he sings his song once, that’s not about that – then he is Hyper.”
He continues: “And then he is testing the sound two hours before the broadcast. Then I think: it was the Friday before the SGP would vote on whether women would be admitted to political functions. The evening before that election I wanted to start about that.”
“It had to give way”
However, Johan could not discuss that subject. “Yes, that had to give way, because Wilfred had to sing a song. And a day later the meeting of the SGP and a whole room full of men was dressed as a pastor, who sweep it off the table, nothing of it, no women in the reign.”
Because of the cabinet trap, the men of VI return from their summer break tonight. They will make a broadcast on SBS 6 from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The Oranjezomer will therefore be canceled.
