SC Magdeburg stays on the foxes Berlin in the title fight of the handball Bundesliga. At TBV Lemgo Lippe, the green-red won an intensive game with 31:29 (15:14).
Kristjansson injured – SCM fights in
With the last eleven league victory in a row, the Magdeburgers went to the penultimate away game of the season with a lot of confidence, but initially had to accept a neckline. After just three minutes played, Gisli Kristjansson fell on his left shoulder after a contact in the air and had to be accompanied by the team doctor into the cabin.
Gisli Kristjansson had to be injured from the plate after just a few minutes.
As a result, Magdeburg not only had to struggle with the early loss of the game maker, but also bite the teeth on a passionately struggling TBV defensive and a strongly performing urh Kastelic, who had already had a full six parades after 20 minutes. So the Lemgoers always worked out the ball, struck an offensive ice cold and took the lead 11: 8.
The SCM shook itself and, with Albin Lagergren and Oscar Bergendahl, brought a different force into the offensive game, which immediately had an effect. With a 3-0 run, the Elbstädter won the 12: 12 equalization before Felix Claar met for 14:13 and thus the first SCM lead since the 1-0. Through another goal from Lagergren shortly before the break, we finally went into the cabins with 15:14.
Magdeburg remains calm
The TBV started the second round and promptly went back to the front with 16:15. However, the lead did not exist for long because Philipp Weber caught a cream day and could hardly be grasped in the left half field in the second 30 minutes. The national player scored four times within seven minutes and helped the German champion to a 23:20 lead after 44 minutes.
However, Lemgo did not open with the audience in the back and fought his way back to one goal after two unusual SCM errors in the construction game. Despite the burgeoning tension, however, there was no nervousness in Bennet’s team. The Magdeburger used the self-image of the past few weeks much more and used Weber again 30 seconds before the end, who took the lid on the game with his eleventh goal and achieved the 31:29 final score.
Despite the poorer throwing quota (Lemgo: 72%, SCM: 67%) and fewer parades (Lemgo: 11, SCM: 5), the Magdeburgers in the league win in a row for the twelfth time and keep the title fight in the Bundesliga exciting. On Wednesday (8 p.m.), SG Flensburg-Handewitt is now a guest for the last home game of the season in Magdeburg.
