In Zoo Planckendael in Mechelen, a camel was unexpectedly born in the open air on Monday, to the great surprise of the public and staff present. Neela, the mother camel, gave birth to a young for the second time. “We let nature go its way as much as possible,” says spokesperson Ilse Segers.
