What happened before in the socials
The two were associated for the first time at the beginning of the year when Dylan posted a fairly random clip from MGK on Instagram – much to confuse his fans. Because usually there is only information about upcoming live shows or old film scenes on Dylans Social Media Profile.
In the video you can see MGK at an acoustic set in the Park Ave CDs in Orlando, Florida. A connection to Dylan? Not to be recognized. And because the clip was uploaded without a comment, it remained completely unclear what the whole thing was supposed to do. Now there was at least probably a meeting.
Compliance at a festival
And now: MGK and Bob Dylan have apparently met. When Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival in Los Angeles – where Dylan Headliner is – MGK suddenly stood on stage, together with Billy Strings, John Stamos and Johnny Knoxville.
The day after, MGK pointed to X, formerly Twitter, what it was all about: “I spoke to someone last night that I never thought of having the honor of ever meeting him – and all of this because of a video of me, as I rap in a music shop 10 years ago.”
What was going on?
However, the musician did not become more specific in his statement in the socials. There will still be question marks with fans of the two.
