Stream: Normani releases new single “Fair”

Normani presents Fair, a new single, following last year’s collaboration with Cardi B, Wild Side. To coincide with the release, Normani also performed the track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The track was produced by Harv, written by Normani himself, along with Abby Keen, Bernard “Harv” Harvey and Felisha King Harvey.

“This song really captures me in one of my most vulnerable moments,” Normani said in a press statement. “I’m uncomfortable sharing this record because you’ve never really seen me in that light. I’m definitely aware that you might feel like you don’t know much about me, but that’s only because it makes me feel protected. I’m really forcing myself to let go here. This is huge for me and hopefully this piece of art resonates. Love is beautiful and yet sooo scary. I adore you to the moon and back.”

“Fair” follows the single “Wild Side” Normani released with Cardi B last July, with Kaytranada later remixing the track. Normani debuted the song at the 2021 MTV VMAs alongside Teyana Taylor. The track followed “Diamonds,” her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, which appeared on the soundtrack of the DC movie Birds of Prey.

Normani was part of the girl group Fifth Harmony until 2018, and has been a solo artist since the band broke up.
