Suede will publish their tenth studio album “Antidepressants” on September 5, 2025. The first single “Disintegate” including music video is available.

Suede: A formative part of the Britpop

As one of the “Big Four”-besides Oasis, Blur and Pulp-Suede is one of the most influential bands in the Britpops of the 1990s, even if they never understood themselves as part of this movement. Since their debut “Suede” in 1993, which reached number 1 on the UK charts, singer Brett Anderson and Co. significantly shaped the sound of British guitar music. Since then, Suede has been busy – with several stylistically diverse albums, creative new beginnings and a celebrated return from 2010.

“Broken music for broken people” – Suede report back with “antidepressants”

According to singer Brett Anderson, “Antidepressants” is the logical continuation of her last album from 2022: “If ‘Autofiction’ was our punk plate, antidepressants are our post-punk plate. It is about the tensions of modern life-paranoia, fear, neurosis. […] It is broken music for broken people. “

The album was originally planned as a soundtrack for a performance art project. However, after intensive tour experiences with autofiction, it developed in a new direction. It was recorded again with Suede’s long -standing producer Ed Buller.

Bassist Mat Osman describes the work as “epic and ambitious” – an album for the big stage. Brett Anderson adds: “It is really exciting to be in this band. It feels like we are still creatively developing.” The first single “Disintgrate” proves that: it is a dark hymn about mortality, decay and at the same time a celebration.
