Waldemar Anton was not recently represented at the quarter-finals of the Nations League in the DFB team. The Dortmund should now be there again in the semifinals.
On June 4, the German national team around national coach Julian Nagelsmann will have to prove itself in the final Four of the Nations League against Portugal in the semi-finals (from 9 p.m. in the T-online live ticker). The 37-year-old coach announces the squad for this on Thursday. According to the Pay TV broadcaster Sky, there should also be a Dortmund who had most recently lacked in the quarter-finals of the competition: Waldemar Anton.
As Sky reports via BVB podcast “Auffe Süd”, national coach Julian Nagelsmann is said to have nominated the defender for the upcoming tournament of the Nations League. Accordingly, the decision was made a few days ago.
Borussia Dortmund club circles have become known that Anton has already been informed about his upcoming nomination. Anton has been on the lawn seven times for the national team, most recently on October 14th in the Nations League against the Netherlands (1-0).
