Irene Moors makes an extreme attempt to resuscitate her TV career: from this week she will participate in the perfect picture. What convinced her? “My crush on Wim Kieft.”
It will be that time again on Wednesday: William Rutten sends a whole battalion of Dutch celebrities abroad to take nice pictures for the perfect picture on a journey. Among them is Irene Moors, who has blown up her own TV career and nowadays only the red carpet runs over to grab a free champagne glass.
Crush on Wim
Why is Irene in this BN’er show? “I had been approached before and the program seemed very intense and outside of my comfort zone at the time. But when they told me that this season would take place in Italy, well … I think that is a fantastic country. Great food, beautiful weather,” she says in the Telephotist.
And what else? Wim Kieft. “Yes. The other participants also appealed to me – I think that is important that you are on the road with a pleasant group of people. When I heard that Wim Kieft would participate, I was all over. What a hero that was. In his early years as a football player I secretly had a bit of a crush on him.”
Prepared
Irene is fanatic in the competition. “If I do something, I do it seriously. I trusted it on my creativity, but the technical part … I went into that for the recordings. Even in my vacation in Curaçao I was still working on it, I searched a professional photographer on the spot to ask tips and advice.”
“We had a few meetings in advance in which we could already learn a few things about photo editing, composition and the technical possibilities of the camera that we got. During those lessons I looked around and saw everyone nice and light -hearted, while I thought: I don’t understand anything about this!”
“When I looked at Wim, I would be reassured: apparently I wasn’t the only one.”
