“If Danielle now moved on with this instrument, it is unhappy,” says Vloon: in terms of sound, timbre and purity. “You want to ensure that everyone has a good instrument, that is stimulating.”
The greatest need consists of ten new bugles. “They are meant for the musicians in the large orchestra. Their instruments go to the students who are going to move on. The even older instruments go to starting students and we use in school projects and courses.”
Wilma’s action is not easy, but six new bugles have now been financed. “We have also saved ourselves, but a total of ten new bugles: that is an investment of more than 30,000 euros. We have not been on the bank account. That is why we started a crowdfunding.” Instruments that come from Zolders are also welcome.
