Van Rysel brand, which belongs to sports dealer Decathlon, opened its first shop in Germany.
The French cycling brand presents itself with around 300 square meters of sales area in Cologne, Van Rysel said on Thursday. There, the brand offers more than 40 different racing bike models, cycling clothing and accessories within the decathlon store in Cologne-Marsdorf. In addition to products, services such as bike fitting and community bike tours are also offered.
Germany is a growth market for the French company. Cologne has been decided because the city has “an active and passionate racing bike community”, said Maxime Delabre, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at van Rysel. “We don’t just build a shop in Cologne – we create a real home for performance cycling.”
In addition to Cologne, Van Rysel is already represented in Lille, London and Brussels with such shop-in-shops at Decathlon. The brand’s products are available online via the decathlon web shops.
