The elective assemblies that will choose their representatives in the National Elective Council of the CONI of 26 June has started today, at the Olympic preparation center Giulio Onesti in Rome. The first to go to the vote were the representatives of the athletes (present 106 of the 119 entitled to the vote in the first vote and 88 in the second). In the first round they were elected: Gregorio Paltrinieri (Swimming) 49, Federico Pellegrino (winter sports) 42, Elena Cecchini (cycling) 37, Vittorio Andrea Vaccaro (Golf) 37, Alessandro Lupino (motorcycling) 36, Valentina Marchei (ice sport) 36, Alessia Zecchini (sports fishing and underwater activities) 34, Edoardo Buticci (shot sporty dynamic) 28.

To respect the gender equality (5+5) the ballot between Camilla Bandazzoli (sports climbing), Nicole Campaner (Modern Pentathlon), Chiara Virag (Wakeboard), stopped at the first vote at 33 votes each, was necessary. To prevail in the second vote were Camilla Bandazzoli with 55 votes and Chiara Virag with 44 (not elected Nicole Campaner 34 votes). The 10 representatives of the athletes in the National Council are therefore: Gregorio Paltrinieri (Swimming), Federico Pellegrino (winter sports), Elena Cecchini (cycling), Vittorio Andrea Vaccaro (Golf), Alessandro Lupino (motorcycling), Valentina Marchei (ice sports), Alessia Zecchini (sports fishing and underwater activities), Edoardo Roberto Buticchi (dynamic sports shot), Camilla Bandazzoli (sports climbing), Chiara Virag (Wakeboard). They are not elected: Nicole Campaner (modern pentathlon) 33, Elena Pantaleo (Federkombat) 31, Diana Bacosi (flight shooting) 27, Cristina Lenardon (handball) 26, Francesco Marrai (sail) 24, Luigi Busà (Karate) 21.
