Hansi Flick and FC Barcelona distanced the great rival Real Madrid with another spectacle in Clásico and made a giant step on the way to the 28th championship. Despite an early 0: 2 deficit, the Catalans celebrated a furious 4: 3 (4: 2) victory against the royal. This means that Barça is three points ahead of Real three games before the end and could make the title profit perfect on Thursday with a win in the city derby near Espanyol.
The Flick-Elf was unimpressed by the bitter semi-finals in the Champions League against Inter Milan and, after winning the Spanish Cup and the Supercup, could take the third title under Flick this season. Real, on the other hand, is probably under success coach Carlo Ancelotti in the last season, a title -oses year ago, in summer Leverkusen’s master coach Xabi Alonso could take over.
Eric García (19th minute), young star Lamine Yamal (32nd) and twice Raphinha (34th and 45th) shot the fourth victory in the fourth Clásico of the season in the Old Olympic Stadium. The three real goals of France’s superstar Kylian Mbappé (5th/foul elf, 14th and 70th) did not change anything.
The German national goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen was again on the bench after his long injury break as announced by Flick. At Real, Antonio Rüdiger, injured on the knee, is still missing, who is still closed after his freak out in the cup final.
As in the two semi-final games against Inter (3: 3 and 3: 4), Barça showed big comeback qualities and picked up a 0-2 deficit again-this time also with a happy ending. Mbappé had realized the lead 2-0 early, but after that Barcelona’s superiority was almost overwhelming. The Catalans earned opportunities every minute, rarely an eleven of the Madrilenen has stuck to falter. However, the Barça defense revealed big gaps as against Inter.
The fact that the game was not decided early was mainly due to the wasteful exploitation of opportunities for the hosts. So Raphinha and Lamine Yamal left several top -class rates unused. The decision by referee Alejandro Hernández Hernández, a handball by real defender Aurelien Tchouameni on the displeasure of Flick, also kept the game open. The substitute Víctor Muñoz (89.) and Mbappé (90.+1) could have compensated shortly before the end.
