Dayot Upamecano could not play in the last home game of FC Bayern against Gladbach (2-0). However, the Frenchman did not miss the opportunity to celebrate the win of the championship and Thomas Müller’s farewell gala together with his teammates. Upamecano stood on the master podium and received the shell there.
Then he enjoyed the master moment on the lawn together with his family, kicking a few balls back and forth with his son. He preferred to leave the wild hunt with wheat beer glasses after coach Vincent Kompany and Müller. The topic quickly came to his future after the talks with FC Bayern had recently stalled about his contract that expired in the summer of 2026. So when does the signature come? “My advisor talks to Christoph and Max. All well,” said Upamecano and repeated the corresponding demand: “There is no problem.”
However, a “kicker” report suggests other things. As a result, there should currently be a connection between the defender and Paris Saint-Germain. A change of the defense lawyer cannot be completely excluded at the moment, as it continues.
Especially not if Upamecano should decide not to want to extend his contract with the record champions. This would be forced to sell Bayern to sell it this summer so as not to risk a transfer -free change after the coming season.

Chief coach Kompany actually thinks a lot from Upamecano and continues to rely on him. A loss of the head of defense would undoubtedly be a sensitive setback for him and Bayern.
