Wood Wood opens new concept store in Berlin

Danish streetwear label Wood Wood is opening a new conceptual store in Berlin.

Wood Wood is bringing its new store concept “Life™” to the German capital, the brand announced on Tuesday. The store at Rochstraße 4 celebrates its opening on Thursday and opens its doors to the public a day later.

The focus of the shop is on the works of the Berlin-based artists Filip Samuel Berg and Adrienne Kammerer. But the concept will also be used at the other locations in Copenhagen and London to support local artists.

The range consists of household goods, multi-purpose tools, ceramics, other smaller objects and clothing. Both its own Double A by Wood Wood line and the Comme des Garçons Play brand are offered. An important part of the range is that the focus is on the individuality of the pieces and less on specific brands. Items include vintage ceramics, garden tools, outdoor gear, and linens.

“In order to be able to interact with our customers, the objects must be able to coexist on the surface. And at the same time, this flexibility allows us to keep adding unconventional elements and objects,” said Wood-Wood co-founder Brian Jensen.

The idea behind the concept is to open a shop for everyday things that should make life better and easier. The makers focus on things that they “use and appreciate” in their own homes and lives, Jensen continues.
