AMSTERDAM – PSV must have chuckled in Copenhagen after the elimination of Ajax by Benfica in the Champions League. The same club barred the Eindhoven team from the group stage of that tournament, which meant that PSV had to live in the shadow of Ajax for a number of months and completed its European matches quite anonymously.
