In the statement, it was stated that the developments in Ukraine were closely followed after the Russian attack, and temporary changes were made in the regulation to help Ukrainian clubs and players.
With the temporary arrangement, Ukrainian football players who left their country were given the opportunity to sign a contract with a club in a country where the registration period is closed. Clubs will be able to add up to 2 players benefiting from the said exception to their roster.
The statement also condemned Russia’s use of force in Ukraine and called for peace.
