In 2020, The Faces performed at the Brit Awards, since then they have apparently been thinking about bringing out a new album. On Monday (April 21), there was now an update: the album may be coming next year.
The Faces: Timeline for the new album
In 2021, Rod Stewart said that his remaining bandmates and he had new songs in store: “We have 15 songs that are extremely valuable, some old, some new.” Ronnie Wood also said that Rod Stewart, Kenney Jones and he are back in the studio.
In 2024, Rod Stewart said that the work on the album continues: “We are not yet finished, but will be ready this year, promise!”
What is new is that Kenney Jones now announced that the album (with fewer songs than they recorded) will probably be released next year: “Not everyone is right for the album, but for most things it fits. I can’t imagine that it will come out this year. Everyone is taking up different things every now and then for a picture. And then suddenly the Stones are on tour and Rod is gone again.”

The faces made great music, but what’s new?
In the comments on social media, many emphasize that The Faces have released great music. On the other hand, some do not seem to be there for a new album, as can be read with the following assessments: “Best band ever. I don’t think we need a new faces album in 2025.” And “not 100 % sure what you can expect in 2025, but I still have my record of ‘Five Guys Walk into a bar'”.

Kenney Jones publishes old records
Kenney Jones is the owner of the rights of the Immediate Records Archive. For the 60th anniversary of his band the (small) faces, he released a new edition of the records.
In addition, there are records of his colleagues such as Steve Marrot’s band Humble Pie, which the rock musician founded after The Small Faces. There are also plates from Keith Richards and PP Arnold. Kenney Jones publishes the records about his label Nice Records, which he founded in the 1990s. The foundation was at the time that the Brit wanted to raise money for Ronnie Lane’s MS treatment.
