FAbbiano, 16 Apr. (askanews) – Rail tourism combined with increasingly sustainable mobility: continues the project of the Italian State Group Group, through the FS Foundation and in collaboration with Greenture, a company of the Snam Group, and Hitachi Rail, of enhancement in a green key of the rolling stock. At the conference room of the Fabriano railway station, the presentation of the completion of the regeneration interventions of a pair of automators at the N668, whose nutrition has been transformed from diesel to Biognl.
The inaugural journey of the two convoys began at 9.40 by AnconAE, after the presentation, continued, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the “Italian Subapnine” line, on the historic railway for Pergola. To illustrate the project, the general manager of Fs Italiane Foundation, Luigi Cantamessa: “The convoy that traveled today was completely regenerated, reported in this case to the original appearance, but above all keeping the original system, thus impacting little on an economic level, was converted to a new diet, to Biomethane. It was like giving life to a present product that expresses our railway engineering”.
Sustainable mobility: old trains become green
The possibility of using Biognl power supply will allow 80% CO2 emissions on averageand in some cases even to obtain “negative” charcoal results. Emanuele Jesus of Greenture told us better: “Today the use of the Biognl has allowed this train to travel essentially to zero emissions.
