The duel of the heavyweight world champion Oleksandr USYK (WBC, WBO, WBO) and Daniel Dubois (IBF) about the undisputed box crown of all classes is as good as in dry cloths. The planned scene recently stood for Dubois spectacles.
As the American boxing Bible “The Ring” reports, negotiations on a fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are about to graduate. The association showdown is scheduled to take place on July 12th in the Wembley Stadium of London.
The camps of heavyweight champions are about to finalize a deal, writes the magazine, which refers to non-mentioned “sources”.
Since “The Ring” has recently been owned by Box-Mogul Turki al-Heikh, which also pulls the threads at USYK and DUBOIS, these sources should be considered reliable.
Usyk had already put together the heavyweight crown with its first triumph about Tyson Fury in May 2024. Shortly afterwards, the Ukrainian lay down the IBF title to contest a direct revenge against Fury. The IBF then highlighted its “interim” master dubois to the full champion.
Dubois defended the belt last autumn in front of 98,000 spectators in Wembley with a spectacular co-victory against superstar Anthony Joshua. The 27-year-old has the best memories of the British football temple.
Usyk already won against Dubois
Dubois, on the other hand, does not like to remember the summer of 2023: In Breslau, he was defeated Usyk in the fight for the titles of WBA, WBO and IBF by KO in round nine. Previously, Dubois had sent the defending champion to the boards with a supposed body hit in round five.
However, the referee decided on deep beat and granted Usyk several minutes according to the rules to recover. Then he dictated the fight again.

Kabayel in the queue
Germany’s heavyweight ace Agit Kabayel, on the other hand, has to be patient. The “Leberking” only won the WBC’s interim World Cup title in February and thus fought for the right to challenge Usyk. WBC boss Mauricio Sulaiman quickly made it clear that the association was not standing in the way of an association fight between Usyk and Dubois.
Kabayel, however, has the feeling that the world champions, especially Usyk, prefer to avoid him.
