Homes on the edge of Rensenpark?
Additional buildings must be built in Emmen if the municipality wants to meet the demand from home seekers. There is a need for new construction not only in the city, but also in the villages around Emmen.
In order to tackle the housing shortage, there are calls for houses to be built on the edge of Rensenpark, near the railway. The initiative is far from being welcomed with open arms by everyone. Opponents fear the consequences for the park when greenery gives way to stones.
