Borussia Mönchengladbach’s one -man player Nathan Ngoumou suffered a serious injury on Sunday after the game at FC St. Pauli. Because of a crack in the right -wing Achilles tendon, the wing striker will no longer be able to use this season. The accident happened when the jokers and reserve players expired after the end of the game.
“This is a bitter message for us and of course especially for Nathan,” said Gladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus. “He will receive every support from us so that he can regenerate the best possible way and then be healthy again.”
From February to mid -March, Ngoumou compensated the failure of regulars Franck Honorat and sometimes performed well. After seven start -up operations during this time, the Camerooner returned to the replacement bench for the past two games. His previous yield of around 830 minutes of use (two goals, a template) will not increase further this season.
