There is Atalanta in third place, chased at one point from Bologna who risks having turned off the Scudetto del Napoli dreams. Under another point there is Juve, another step further down here is Lazio who, however, is only two lengths from Rome to the viglia of the derby, and under Ranieri resists Palladino and his Fiorentina who after the peer of San Siro managed to keep Milan at a safe distance. A crowd never seen, six teams in as many points – from the third to the eighth – and everything still to be decided for the Champions League and the other places in Europe. A real tussle, a race with many suitors like few other times have been seen. Beautiful.

But it did not end here: with Inter, Lazio and Fiorentina still running for the three competitions of this season, the situation could further change in the event that Baroni’s team or that of Palladino should raise a cup and finish the championship outside Europe: they would become the Italian fifth in the Champions League and the third of the Europa League respectively. Third also because if one between Milan and Empoli won the Italian Cup, it would be added to the Euroleague party. While if the Italian Cup will win a team already qualified for Europe, in the Europa League the sixth classified and the seventh will also go.
