She felt at home on the slopes and was particularly specialized in departure and Super-G. However, the chapter now has an end.

The Austrian ski racer made her debut in the World Cup in December 2023. Michelle Niederweiser now announced the end of her sporting career just one and a half years later. The 25-year-old announced this in an emotional post on Instagram.

Niederweiser wrote about a video of herself that she shows as a child: “Time to say goodbye. Thank you skiing, it was an honor for me.” In addition to the snapshots that you used to show, photos from recent times can also be seen.

In one picture it can be seen how the ski racer in the red racing dress jumps from a slopes with skis on her feet – in front of an impressive alpine backdrop. The recording was made from a dynamic angle from behind, while it is already in the air. A stadium area and a snowy mountain panorama can be seen in the background.

Niederweiser continued: “And a huge thank you to the people who support me every single day.” She also emphasized her parents with a “thank you for everything”. The Austrian association commented on the post: “All the best for the future.”
