The third participant is Silvia Fledderus from Dalerveen. The songs come naturally to the singer, who originally comes from Valthermond. “I sometimes make melodies on existing texts or lyrics. I just sit down with my guitar or bass and then it just happens,” says Fledderus laughing.

The genre in which Fledderus sings tends towards Country. “That music is always about life itself and there are always beautiful mysteries in those stories.” According to Fledderus, the number is more or less finished. She found it difficult to explain what the number is about but describes it herself as a love song.

For the decibels you can go to Skroetbalg. If they did not win prizes during Songfestival Drenthe, they will participate in the ‘Hardest Band in Drenthe’ election anyway. “To us, nobody plays harder,” says frontman Sander Boersma at the kitchen table in Klazienaveen.

The punk rock band saw the light of day in the coronaper period and has been working on the road steadily since. They do play in all corners of the country and foreign performances are also rare anymore. Boersma keeps it simple and invites you to pull from Hamburg to Antwerp. “We play everywhere within that,” he says proudly. And that while he works a full -time besides his musical career. “It is the worst paid side job, haha.”
