Three PSV supporters were arrested on Sunday before and after the PSV-Ajax football match after calling anti-Semitic slogans. The 24-year-old woman from Eindhoven, the 18-year-old woman from Landgraaf and the 19-year-old man from Odiliapeel called slogans such as: ‘Hamas, Hamas, Jews on the gas’.
In the anti -Semitic chants, statements were also made such as: “Those who don’t jump is a Jew, all Jews must die.” The police reject these chants and writes on X that she is there for everyone.
The two women were arrested around noon. The 19-year-old man was arrested for insults after the game at ten past four in the afternoon. According to a police spokesperson, the supporters were released the same evening.
Consultation choirs in stadium
The PSV stadium speaker called Supporters during the game on Sunday to stop consulting against the referee. These chants were not anti -Semitic in nature, the football club spokesperson said.
“These chants started after a decision by the referee was not understood or not appreciated,” says the spokesperson. “It stopped after the announcement of our stadium speaker so we no longer had to take action.”
Atmosphere
An anti -Semitic statements could also be heard at an atmosphere campaign on Trudoplein in Eindhoven on Saturday evening where supporters wanted to wish PSV success. That can be heard on images that go on social media.
No supporters were arrested in this atmospheric action, a police spokesperson said.
