Thomas Müller is undoubtedly one of the greatest legends in German football. But is the world’s career over this summer?
A possible farewell to Thomas Müller after this season made ex-DFB director Oliver Bierhoff thoughtful. In the BR program “Blickpunkt Sport”, the 56-year-old said: “If he stops, of course, that would be regret. Then I would say, then you can stay parked again at Bayern Munich.” However, if Müller changes again, for example, changing abroad, that would be “a nice experience”, according to Bierhoff.
The 35-year-old’s contract with the record champion ends on June 30th. According to information from “Bild” and “Kicker”, Müller should no longer receive a new working paper from Munich – although the offensive player had hoped for another season.
Müller, who has been in the club since 2000 and celebrated his professional debut in 2009, is a figure of identification, according to Bierhoff. It can be assumed that the situation was “respectful” between the club and the player about the situation.
Bierhoff also addressed Müller’s character: the 2014 world champion was someone with great ambition and high demands. “Of course you also have to see how to deal well as a club.” With over 700 competitive games for FC Bayern, Thomas Müller is a record player of the club. He won twelve German championships, six DFB trophies and the Champions League twice.
