Czech wins the first Masters 1000 in his career and becomes the youngest fourth ever to do it. Rent pays the answer no longer deadly and the lower effectiveness in prolonged exchanges
The star of Jakub Messik was officially born in Miami. At 19 years of age, Czech wins the first Masters 1000 of the career and does so by beating in two sets (7-6 (4) 7-6 (4) in 2 hours and 3 minutes) Novak Djokovic, which once again sees the title number 100 escape. Little to say, however: Mensik has aroused the victory, playing better for the whole match and not trembling in the crucial moments, unlike Nole, Bad tie break, dominated by the Czech.
Mensik Record
–
Mensik is the first player of the Czech Republic to win a 1000 since 2005 (when he succeeded, in Bercy, Tomas Berdych) and is the youngest fourth to win him after Michael Chang, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune. Mexik (from today number 24 in the world) is an extremely talented player who has to find continuity, not the main feature of the extraordinary tennis school of his nation, but from today it is certainly a name to keep an eye on the highest level.
Final Miami, first set
–
Mexik starts strong, keeps the service well and Brekka immediately, flying on 2-0, thanks also to two consecutive errors of Djokovic’s straight, tense and foul at the beginning of the match. The Czech, on the contrary, is deadly, covers the field great and also in the exchange from the bottom holds the comparison with the Serbian very well. On the 3-0 Pensik, Djokovic finally beats a blow and keeps the service, but the impression is that the former n.1 of the world is in difficulty. It is no coincidence: at this point in his career he suffers a lot of players with an excellent service, which he does not always manage to read as it happened in the past, since he built his endless empire of successes with the answer, which now seems a little less. Nole, however, is always Nole, and even now just leave him a glimmer to pay it. And monthik, that glimmer, leaves him on 4-2: the Czech does not put the first for almost the whole game, Djokovic takes advantage of it, gets the first break ball of the game and is not wrong, recovering the disadvantage. From then on, great balance, with Mensik who makes some mistakes too much but starts serving well, Nole does not give up and therefore the conclusion of the set, obvious, is at the tie break. A ribbon helps Mensik, a very good at closing the point with a splendid Veronica, who flies on 2-0, hole throws away an easy straight and goes under two minibraaks, another disastrous short ball that dies on the net of Djokovic and the Czech rises 5-0. It is also too much for Nole, and Messik snatches the first set, closing the tie break 7-4 in 55 minutes.

Final Miami, second set
–
In the second set total balance until 2-2, when Messik gets the first partial break point reading a short ball of Djokovic. Nole does not beat an eyelid and cancels it with a winning service, but with a wonderful Lungolinea reverse, the Czech gets a second break ball, however canceled this too, and with a lot of suffering in the end Djokovic keeps the service, screams towards the corner with a unleashed Murray and salt 3-2. On 4-3 for Nole, Mensik commits the first double foul of the match, goes on 40-40 but the Czech shows how strong he is head, at least in this tournament, shooting two deadly services and is 4-4. The two continue to serve well and you get to the tie break again, and still Djokovic starts badly, immediately granting a minibreak, complete with an angry reaction, but Mensik “reciprocates” the favor by throwing a straight in network extension, and is 2-1. On the 2-2 infinite exchange and Nole, exhausted, it is wrong and collapses on the ground, granting another minibreak to the Czech, who shoots another deadly service and rises on 4-2. The tension makes itself felt and Messik shoots a ball on the net, minibreak for rent and is 4-3, but once again the Serbian loses a long exchange and it seems not to have anymore, he also misses the next point and Messik has 3 matches points: Jakub misses the first, not the second, another tie break closed 7-4 and for the talent of Prostribing not only is the first Masters 1000 of the career, but also the first ATP tournament. Nole embraces the young rival with sincere joy, but for him the title number 100 remains, once again, bewitched. And the signing to the Mexik camera at the end of the game (“First of Many”, the first of many) sounds more like a promise than a threat.
