General strike costs travel sector at least 5.5 million euros: “More than 37,000 holidaymakers had to adjust travel plans”

Monday’s general strike forces thousands of Belgian holidaymakers to leave a day earlier. The rebooking of all these trips costs Flemish travel organizations no less than 5.5 million euros, estimates the Association of Flemish Travel Agencies (VVR) that represents more than 600 travel companies in Flanders and Brussels.
