This time, however, let’s go into detail, because we want to describe the most interesting and above all useful news both for the girls who will apply and for those who will be selected. In fact, the project grows, is updated, adapts to today’s reality. It’s not easy, you know. But you have to start somewhere to find your way. And “99 cum laude” could be this beginning.

Let’s start with the fact that all graduates who register (therefore they are not selected) they can – if they want – upload their own curriculum «which will be evaluated for the various positions open at EYworld leader in consultancy and auditing, this year partner of “99 e lode”» explains Maria Finadri, head of Fastweb Digital Academy. A precious opportunity, who knows that something good might not come of it. Not only.
All applicants will complete a Phyd questionnaire (the Adecco start-up that helps people and companies invest in skills) where they will indicate the professions they are most interested in. «Based on their answers», continues Finadri, «they will know how much and if they are ready, what skills they have and which ones they should still develop. Alternatively, other careers will be offered, more relevant to the skills girls already possess. This concerns all candidates who will receive an online refund from Phyd. For the 99 selected there will be one more possibility: at the end of our journey they will have a face-to-face interview with a Phyd expert who will answer their questions and help them prepare their curriculum in the most correct way. Here too, therefore, a significant novelty ».
A driving force for “weak” degrees
Go on. All candidates will have a preferential lane to enroll – whenever they want – in the free Fastweb Digital Academy courses. In addition, among the 99 participants, a girl will be selected who will be able to participate, always free of charge, in the Rcs Academy online master in Digital Marketing and Social Media. Finally, the 99 chosen ones will be able to have meetings with the Adecco Foundation “which will offer job interviews that match each girl’s personality,” explains Finadri.
Basically, the big news this year, thanks also to the entry of industry partners, is that “99 e lode” is no longer just a training and orientation course, but can really become a significant driving force to bring young people closer to the world of work, through concrete and personalized proposals. And this is true for all of them, even for those who have followed humanistic studies and find themselves in the middle of the ford, with a “weak” degree hanging in their room. “One shouldn’t believe that there aren’t opportunities for those who leave these paths,” underlines Finadri. «During “99 e lode” we will see that this is not the case at all.
Women and work: female employment numbers are improving
Any examples? Philosophy and Psychology degrees are highly sought after in the field of Artificial Intelligence, or in the construction of machine learning algorithms that teach machines to learn. Today masses of data are available which – if properly studied – can be useful to companies: I am thinking of Netflix, which by analyzing viewers’ choices produces films tailored to their expectations, or of Amazon which finalized the logistics on the basis of the requests of customers. Humanities graduates are also the most coveted in external relations, as long as they have digital skills. Let’s say there is a hacker attack in progress, it is important that a company can give the right communication, to make people understand what is happening». The importance of the network A “99 cum laude” it will be the professionals themselves who will explain first-hand what it means to carry out a particular job; girls will be able to practice, ask concrete questions, understand if that is their way, see how and whether to further training, perhaps in the Fastweb Digital Academy. But above all they can network. In fact, with the 2023 edition we are partially returning to the presence: you will be able to meet professionals and role models in person, weave networks with your companions, lay the foundations for your future and career.
Only a few days left for registrations
The 4th edition of “99 e lode”, the training and orientation course on the most requested digital professions, starts in January 2023. Graduates under 30 can register by 18 December on fastwebdigital.academy (project 99 cum laude). This time there will be new and more detailed selection criteria: the degree mark will be valid for only one third, while another third will depend on the digital skills that will be measured by a specific test, the Digital IQ. Finally, the last third will depend on the employability index, determined by another questionnaire which will take into account previous work experiences, cultural interests, everything needed to outline a person’s profile and understand how ready they are to enter the world of work. The three-day course, half in presence (in Milan and Rome), and half in live streamingwill analyze three professional figures: Cyber Security, UX Design, Data Analyst. In addition, the Adecco Foundation will explain how a job interview works. There will also be motivational meetings with many role models. All candidates will take a job orientation test with Phyd and will have it returned online (they will also be selected in person). And all those who register (not just the 99) will also be able to be evaluated by the new partner EY (world leader in consultancy and auditing) for the various open positions in the company.
