In 2012, reporter Sofie Peeters showed with ‘Femme de la rue’ how often women were harassed on the street. With a new study she proves that nothing has changed. As many as 95 percent of Belgian women feel unsafe. What needs to be done differently? “In big cities, the police have so much to worry about that women’s feelings of insecurity are the least of their worries, although they even employ ‘decoy officers’.”
