The Barcelona Court prosecutor’s office, which opened the case after completing the investigation and collecting sufficient evidence after the statements taken and the expert report in the Dani Alves incident, demanded 9 years in prison and 150 thousand euros in compensation for the Brazilian football player for sexual assault.
In addition, the prosecutor’s office also requested that Alves be kept under judicial supervision for 10 years after completing her sentence and that measures be taken to ensure that the woman in question is at least 1 kilometer away from where she is located.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Dani Alves, who was accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman at a discotheque in Barcelona on the night of December 30, 2022, was detained after arriving in Barcelona from Mexico on January 20, and was then arrested by the court.
39-year-old Alves, who changed his statements three times and lastly stated that “he lied in his first statements to hide his infidelity towards his wife and to protect his wife by accepting sexual intercourse”, was transferred from ‘Brains 1 Prison’ to ‘Brains 2 Prison’ on January 23 for security reasons.
Alves’ model wife, Joana Sanz, also announced that she had separated from the Brazilian football player following allegations of sexual assault.
Alves, who played for teams such as Sevilla, Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo in his career, had his contract with the Mexican team UNAM, where he last played, terminated after he was arrested in Barcelona on sexual assault charges.
