9-year-old girl in Amsterdam put in the spotlight after saving man with asthma attack

The Southeast Bijlmermeer police puts a 9-year-old girl in the spotlight who reported to 112 last week about a man who could hardly breathe. He had an asthma attack and was able to get the help he needed thanks to the girl’s quick notification.

At first, the control room thought that the girl was being harassed, but it soon turned out that a man had an asthma attack and urgently needed medication. It was a challenge for the police to find the man and the girl. Eventually this worked and the police found a man next to the girl who ‘almost collapsed’.

Through Instagram let the Southeast Bijlmermeer police know that they think it’s cool that the girl helped the man so well and that she immediately called 112. “To thank her, she has been given a police bear.”
