One calls it a porch, the other a canopy or hut. Anyway, whatever you call it, a covered part in the garden is just very nice. On wet days you are dry while you can still sit outside with the heater on. In warm weather you can chill out or enjoy a meal in the shade. A mini living room in the open air!
