From BZ editors

The 9-euro ticket is valid from June to August. BVG and S-Bahn are expecting an increase in passenger numbers in Berlin – and are increasing the number of buses and trains on popular routes.

Buses and trains will be jam-packed from June. The S-Bahn and BVG also assume this. In order not to overload commuters, day-trippers and the city connection, frequencies will be increased there, old bus lines will be reactivated and waiting times will be minimized.
