88-year-old dies after a frontal crash on the Müggelseedamm

The 88-year-old driver, who was critically injured in an accident in Friedrichshagen on October 9, died in a Berlin hospital on Wednesday morning.

In the accident on Sunday afternoon on the Müggelseedamm in Friedrichshagen, according to the police, an 88-year-old driver drove his small car into oncoming traffic around 4:10 p.m. in a right-hand bend.

He crashed head-on into an oncoming car. The senior was seriously injured.

The 63-year-old driver of the second car and his passenger (56) were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The police department is investigating how the accident happened.
