CD&V Member of Parliament Nahima Lanjri is submitting a resolution to abolish the sickness pension for tenured civil servants. More than 87,000 civil servants under the age of 65 are permanently on sick leave, including those in their twenties. “We must abolish the system and radically focus on reintegration,” said Lanjri, who sounded the alarm in parliament last year.
