85-year-old man robbed on the street in Wervik

The victim was cycling home when he was mugged around 11 p.m. According to the public prosecutor, violence was used during the robbery of the elderly man. The perpetrator fled when passers-by intervened.

In the end, two suspects were quickly arrested. It concerns an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman. The prosecutor’s office decided to bring both teens before the investigating judge on suspicion of theft with violence. If the suspects are arrested, they will have to appear before the council chamber in Kortrijk on Friday.
