A senior citizen in Oldenburg fell with her car from the fourth floor of a parking garage.
Despite immediate rescue measures, the 81-year-old died at the scene of the accident on Friday morning, the police said.
According to initial findings, the driver initially crashed into a parked car while maneuvering and then broke through a boundary wall of the parking deck.
The car remained on its roof on the street, and several other vehicles were damaged. Fire brigade and police secured the scene of the accident with a large contingent.
Eyewitness Marion T. (57) later told BILD that three passers-by had to jump to the side to avoid being hit by the car. “Otherwise they would have been underneath! Definitive!”
The exact cause of the accident was initially unclear.
