And we would now like to introduce these to you. The aim is: festive, special and chic.
We analyzed the shopping habits of our 120 million annual shoppers and current trends to find out what the most important trending items are for the New Year’s Eve party. From accessories to the hottest clothing items, here are 8 must-have items for New Year’s Eve 2024!
Red tights
Black tights are a thing of the past – this year we present our legs in a more exciting color, namely red! There is no doubt that red is THE color of the year. Red tights are an unexpected trend, but perfect for the holiday season because it’s never been easier to give a simple black dress a hot update. Demand for Stylight has increased by 77%.
XL statement earrings
One of the must-have accessories this festive season will be oversized statement earrings. True to the motto: the bigger, the better. We’re seeing big, bold looks in silver and gold – and on our site, demand for these XL earrings increased by 10% in the second half of November.
Faux fur
If you’re looking for something luxurious that won’t break the bank, look no further than the faux fur trend! This year we’re seeing everything from jackets to coats to hats made from faux fur – it’s the perfect item to take a festive outfit to the next level. At Stylight, demand for faux fur garments increased by 41% in the last two weeks of November compared to the first two weeks.
Lace tops
Lace tops were a big deal this fall/winter season and it looks like they’ll continue to play a big role this Christmas and New Year’s Eve too. Lace tops are a simple and elegant way to dress without dressing up – so it’s no wonder demand has increased by 45% on Stylight.
Knee-high silver boots
Silver is to be expected in festive looks – but this year we’re seeing the color in a very eye-catching accessory, as silver knee-high boots are super trendy this year. Perfectly paired with a mini skirt or short dress, these boots will add the necessary amount of drama to any look. Searches on Google have increased by 43%.
Silver colored maxi skirt
And silver continues. In addition to silver-colored boots, skirts in the beautiful metallic tone are also popular. We see shimmering silver maxi skirts paired with silk tops and blazers that exude a truly sophisticated and almost avant-garde look. On Google, searches for silver maxi skirts have increased by 82%.
Grind
Who doesn’t want to end this year with a romantic view? We rely on romance that is guaranteed to stay with us – in the form of special details, namely playful, romantic bows. Whether on shoes, bags, jackets, in XL form on tops or as a special highlight in our hair. Bows are defining our New Year’s Eve look this year. On Google, searches for bows (related to fashion topics) increased by 56%.
Sequins
Sequins, sequins everywhere. At least that’s how it always feels this time of year. In addition to the typical sequin mini dresses, this year there are mainly sequin tops. At Stylight we’ve seen a 20% increase in demand for sparkly tops. So if you want to brighten up the room with your look, this trend is the right choice.
