8 teams withdraw from the leagues in Volleyball – Breaking Volleyball news



According to the statement made by TVF, Hatay Metropolitan Belediyespor from AXA Sigorta Efeler League, Malatya Metropolitan Belediyespor and Hatay Üzümdalı Gençspor from Men’s 2nd League, Gaziantep Genclikspor and Hatay Yeşilkentspor from Alpaslan Industry Men’s 1st League, Women’s 1st League. Gaziantep Merinos Genclikspor and Women’s 2nd League Hatay Volleyball Genclikspor and Antakya Belediye Genclikspor will not continue the remaining part of the 2022-2023 season.


It was stated that the demands of these teams to take part in the leagues with the same rights after one season were accepted and it was decided to exclude the matches they played in the second half from the scoring system.


THE FOLLOWING EXPRESSIONS ARE USED, STATING THAT THE PLAYERS WHICH WEAR IN THE SUCH TEAMS HAVE BEEN GRANTED THE RIGHT TO ADDITIONAL TRANSFER UNTIL MARCH 10:


“As part of the activities of our federation in the 2022-2023 season, team athletes who participated in the competitions but declared that they could not participate in the competitions due to the earthquake, provided the written consent of the clubs they are licensed to, and valid until the end of the 2022-2023 volleyball season, on behalf of all other teams in the leagues in our federation’s activities, they will issue a license for these teams. In order to be able to take part in the field in their official competitions, these athletes will be granted additional transfer rights until March 10, 2023, and the maximum Turkish athlete contract/license right required by the above-mentioned license issuance right, in accordance with the first and second paragraphs of Article 26 of the TVF Athlete License, Visa and Transfer Instruction. It has been decided to limit the teams to a maximum of 2 Turkish citizen athletes.”
