8 members of motorcycle gang No Surrender convicted of attempted murder
Pedro B. (52) was found heavily beaten in an industrial area in Mouscron on December 15, 2018 around 4:30 am. De Bruggeling first claimed that he had been kidnapped by some unknown persons, but eleven months later explained that it was a settlement within the West Flemish chapter of motorcycle club No Surrender.
Processed with Bunsen burner and claw hammer
The investigation showed that the victim received a lot of hard punches and kicks in the clubhouse in Zwevezele, because he allegedly sent messages to the wife of a member who was in prison. According to the other gang members, B. also stole money from the club fund. The man in his fifties was treated with a Bunsen burner and a claw hammer thrown at his head. The Public Prosecution Service prosecuted fifteen defendants and, at the hearing of November 21, 2022, demanded ten years in prison for ‘President’ Angelo T. (48) and six years for his most important lieutenants.

Angelo T.’s counsel unsuccessfully requested that the facts be reclassified as intentional assault and battery. The leader of the gang admitted that he dealt a blow, but according to his lawyer Frank Scheerlinck, he was already at home in Ardooie during the continuation of the assault. On Thursday morning, the immediate arrest of T. was ordered, as a result of which the former president of No Surrender was handcuffed at the hearing. Two lieutenants received five years of effective prison sentences, but do not have to go to prison immediately.
