The cyclist who was seriously injured this afternoon in an accident on the bicycle path along the Provincialeweg in Krommenie has died from her injuries. The 76-year-old woman from Krommenie suffered serious head injuries after a collision with a scooter.
A police spokesman said this afternoon that it is not yet clear how exactly the accident could have happened. “A trauma helicopter has arrived. The victim is being taken to hospital,” he said at the time.
Unfortunately, the help was of no avail and tonight the woman died of her injuries.
