73-year-old football player Şerif Kunt plays for the record! – Breaking Football news

73-year-old Şerif Kunt, President of the Turkish Amateur Footballers Federation, continues to wear the jersey to break the record for the oldest person playing football in the world.

Kurt, who started his football career 55 years ago, played in various teams and transferred to Anadolu Power, which competed in Nevşehir Amateur League at the beginning of the season.

Kunt fought with his teammates in Nevşehir Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports No. 2 Football Field against Derinkuyu Power with his number 7 shirt.

Playing until the 37th minute of the match, Kunt was also appreciated by his teammates. Kunt told reporters that he wants to be the oldest football player in the world by playing until the age of 75.

Explaining that he lives in Ankara and comes to Nevşehir every week for league matches, Kunt said:

I started football in 1967 at Araklispor in Trabzon. I have been active as an athlete for 55 years. My aim is primarily to set an example for young people and to include them in sports. A 74-year-old player left football in Egypt, and we are struggling to carry that title to Turkey. Football for me is love, passion. It is impossible to give up on it. Last year, I was in the Divanlı Gençlerbirliği team in Yozgat. I am in Nevşehir this year. I am proud to be here.
