A total of 80,941 people have reported suffering some adverse effect after receiving a vaccine against covid in Spainthe vast majority women, with 73% of cases, and of which 467 have died from this cause.

This is stated in the seventeenth update of the pharmacovigilance report on vaccines against SARS-CoV-2, prepared by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) and disclosed by the department headed by Carolina Darias with vaccination data to date September 11 this year.

In women and in people between 18 and 65 years

The total number of notifications of “adverse events” is equal to 79 cases per 100,000 doses administered. 65% have been communicated by health professionals and 35% by citizens.

The bulk of the problems was recorded in people between 18 and 65 years: 17,915 men reported some problem and 52,087 women.

In all, 13,627 cases were considered severe, requiring hospitalization, resulting in significant disability, malformation, or life-threatening.

The deaths were 467, but Health warns that “they cannot be considered related to vaccines by the mere fact of being notified” because “in the vast majority of reported cases in which there is information on medical history and concomitant medication, the death It can be explained by the previous clinical situation of the patient”.
