Storm Eunice has finally left our city after a very stormy day. Fortunately, peace has returned, but she left us with a lot of damage. In Zoetermeer, trees handled bushes at once and roof sheets flew off the buildings.
The fire brigade is often called out for falling trees and flying roof sheets. Alarms came in to the power station from the streets of Buizerdveld, Kersengaarde, Justus van Effenhove and Karel Doormanlaan. But also from the Freyssinet line, Mendelsohnrode, Broekwegzijde, Hedriden and a lot of other Zoetermeer streets.
The roof panels of the ONC Parkdreef school building came loose and a tree fell over the road and ended up on a car in Rokkeveen. We have listed a number of images of storm damage after storm Eunice in Zoetermeer.
