65-year-old Amsterdammer stabbed to death ‘by his own son’ in a hamlet of Italy

A 65-year-old Amsterdammer was the victim of a stabbing in Italy on Wednesday. The man died of his injuries. This is confirmed by a spokesman for Foreign Affairs AT5. According to various media, the man’s son is the suspected perpetrator. On him holds the Italian carabinieri a manhunt.

Italian police are looking for him in the woods around the village of Montaldo di Mondovi, in the northwestern region of Piedmont, where the incident happened. Another Dutchman, a 60-year-old man, was also killed in the stabbing.

“The double murder took place in Montaldo di Mondovì, in the small hamlet of Roapiana, in the province of Cuneo. There, a 21-year-old young man of Dutch origin and with mental problems had been a guest for a few days with family friends in Montaldo, together with his parents”, writes the Italian Il Riformista.
According to different media the Amsterdam victim is 65-year-old Chain Fa Chang, a teacher at primary school Elout in Zuid. The ministry cannot confirm that it is actually this man.
