The budget of the ISDE, the subsidy scheme for insulation measures, (hybrid) heat pumps, solar boilers and connections to a heat network, will be increased by 62 million euros this year due to the large number of applications. This means that a total of 290 million euros is available in 2022. The increase in the subsidy will be available from 18 October.

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), which implements the scheme, foresees that the number of ISDE applications will double in 2022 compared to last year to more than 80,000 applications. The ISDE subsidy is made available annually and will continue until 2030. Both homeowners, Owners Associations and companies can qualify for the scheme. The amount of the subsidy depends on the type of solar boiler, heat pump or insulation measure.

More than 64,000 applications have already been made by households this year. More than 98 million euros was requested for insulating measures and almost 56 million euros for the installation of (hybrid) heat pumps. After the budget increase, almost 90 million euros is still available for households and business users until the end of this year. In addition, within the ISDE, EUR 30 million is available in 2022 specifically for business users for small-scale wind turbines and solar panels. Applications can be made via the website of RFO.

Minister Jetten for Climate and Energy: ‘Saving energy and making it more sustainable are the most important measures we can take to become less vulnerable to high energy prices and to become less dependent on fossil fuels from abroad. We also see that more and more people want to make their homes more sustainable. To prevent much-needed insulating measures from coming to a standstill, we are increasing the budget of the ISDE by 62 million euros this year.’
