600 seniors participate in annual sports day

The senior sports day took place in sports hall De Zwaluw. Sports Day is an annual tradition in one of the Midwest’s sixteen counties.

“There are walking tours, cycling tours, but there is plenty to do indoors here,” says alderman for sports Jens Danneels. “We do try to find sports that are close to the living environment of active seniors and fall prevention is certainly part of that.” Darts also turned out to be a popular sport this afternoon, and the current darts hype is no surprise to that.
